Food Drive for UU Pantry

You can make a difference

What is a food drive? Food drives help local food banks, food pantries, and soup kitchens collect food donations to keep their shelves stocked.  Hunger affects every community, but many people are unaware and don't realize it.

The First Unitarian Food Pantry serves any person or family in need.  There is no bureaucracy, no eligibility determination. No humiliation. Just kindness and a little bit of help.

Your donations help.  Cash is the best donation because the Food Pantry can get substantially lower prices for food items.  A Pantry does not have abiltiy to store large containers or raw, perishable food.  Donations that are *undamaged and *not out-of-date are needed. Peanut butter, Canned soup, Canned fruit, Canned vegetables, Canned stew, Canned fish, Canned beans, Pasta (most prefer whole grain), Beans, Rice.

The UU pantry is open on Wednesdays from 12:00-2:00 and the church is located on the corner of Carlisle and Comanche.
